Music with a Latin beat, Samba, and bossa nova

Drummer Thomas Carabasi formed the Samba-Jazz group in 2005, following his time playing with Brazilian pianist Manfredo Fest and traveling to Brazil to immerse himself in the music. His broad jazz experience also includes years working with the legendary Kenny Drew, Jr. and other notable jazz artists.

In addition, Tom has been Director of Photography and Digital Imaging at the Ringling College of Art & Design for more than 20 years, prompting the Longboat Key Observer to call him “Sarasota’s Renaissance Man.”
